Info

The Good Catch Safety Program is designed to foster a proactive safety culture by recognizing employees who identified and reported potential workplace hazards. I developed creative campaign materials that highlighted real employee contributions, making safety both visible and celebrated across the organization. The concept of "Safety Spotlight" cards emerged, featuring a collection of 12 safety cards distributed one card a monthly, each highlighting a unique safety focus to enhance workplace safety measures. After collaborating with the Health and Safety team, the idea got more and more creative and we came up with the idea of these cards could be an interactive way of employees nominating other employees. Reaching over 1,500 employees across the agency, the campaign spotlighted those who identified and reported workplace hazards—reinforcing OCTA’s commitment to employee well-being. The program’s success contributed to OCTA being honored with the APTA Service Award, a national recognition of the agency’s dedication to safety and excellence.
