Sharing gratitude for our veterans 2023
On November 10, OCTA celebrated Veterans Day to honor its employees who served in the military and their families. They have 70 veterans working in different branches like Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard. OCTA is known for being a military-friendly employer. Employees and their families received recognition, veteran pins, and challenge coins as a token of appreciation. Challenge coins are a long-standing military tradition that symbolizes unit pride and excellence. I led the design for OCTA's Veterans Campaign, creating materials like brochures, pins, and challenge coins for our employee veterans. We distributed these to 70 team members who served in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard. OCTA is recognized for prioritizing veteran hires. Our employees received veteran pins and challenge coins, embodying a century-old military tradition celebrating unit pride and hard work. It's an honor to have played a role in recognizing and appreciating our veterans.

2023 Orange County Transportation Authority Employee Yearbook
One of the best projects I’ve fully contributed to was OCTA’s Employee Yearbook. This project was meaningful because it celebrated the people behind the agency—the Employees of the Month—and highlighted the memorable moments that made 2023 an extraordinary year. I directed and executed the full design and production process, from layout and visual storytelling to print preparation and quality review. The yearbook was shared online and also distributed to more than 1,300 employees during OCTA’s Employee of the Year event, serving as both a keepsake and a recognition piece that brought the organization together.
OCTA’S GOOD CATCH SAFETY PROGRAM
The Good Catch Safety Program is designed to foster a proactive safety culture by recognizing employees who identified and reported potential workplace hazards. I developed creative campaign materials that highlighted real employee contributions, making safety both visible and celebrated across the organization. The concept of "Safety Spotlight" cards emerged, featuring a collection of 12 safety cards distributed one card a monthly, each highlighting a unique safety focus to enhance workplace safety measures. After collaborating with the Health and Safety team, the idea got more and more creative and we came up with the idea of these cards could be an interactive way of employees nominating other employees. Reaching over 1,500 employees across the agency, the campaign spotlighted those who identified and reported workplace hazards—reinforcing OCTA’s commitment to employee well-being.

The program’s success contributed to OCTA being honored with the APTA Service Award, a national recognition of the agency’s dedication to safety and excellence.
Employees of the Month:
Social Media Annual Post Rebranding
During my time at OCTA, I saw an opportunity to revamp the 'Employee of the Month' posts. The existing graphics template had been in use for quite a while, and I believed a fresh, bold design would not only refresh the look but also enhance engagement and draw more attention. My goal was to create a new visual identity that would make these posts stand out and better celebrate the achievements of our employees."

The Overview of Benefits brochure was developed to clearly communicate OCTA’s comprehensive benefits package to over 1,500 Coach Operators across the agency. I led the layout and visual strategy for this printed and distributed guide, transforming complex HR information into a clean, accessible, and easy-to-read resource. The booklet highlighted key areas such as medical, dental, and vision plans, paid time off, retirement contributions through OCERS, and voluntary benefits options—all organized in a structured, employee-friendly format. Working collaboratively with Human Resources and Communications teams, I ensured the final design emphasized clarity, trust, and inclusivity, making it easier for employees and their families to understand and navigate OCTA’s benefit offerings.
